Day 1: Ashkhabad
Arrival in Ashgabat. Ashkhabad - the capital of Turkmenistan with the number of 773.400 inhabitants is the very large city of the country. It is a separate region, Ashgabat saheri. Ashkhabad is located in the oasis of the desert of Karakum in the foothill of Kopet Dagh Mountain, not far from the boundary with Iran. Ashkhabad is famous as the center of Turkmen craftsmanship, especially for its carpets of manual work. Turkmenistan consists of five provinces with 50 regions. Border passing & customs formalities. Transfer to the hotel. Check in Grand Turkmen hotel. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Ashkhabad
Breakfast at 8.00 a.m. in the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour of Ashgabat: Spiritual mosque of Turkmenbashy, Old Nisa, Health Path of Turkmenbashy, Monument of Independency & Rukhnama. Lunch. After lunch we will continue to have a city tour and we will visit New Park dedicated to Akhalteke horses-the pride of Turkmen, Arch of Neutrality, Presidential Square, Gulistan Bazar, Monument of Lenin, Ertogrul Ghazy Mosque. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Ashkhabad - Merv - Ashgabat
Early breakfast at 4.00 a.m. in the hotel. Transfer to the airport of Ashgabat to have flight to Merv. Flight by T5-125 at 07.00 and arrival at 07.40. Sightseeing tour of Old Merv: Gyz Gala & Oglan Gala(VI-VII), Complex of Askhabs(VIII-XIV), Giaur Gala(IV BC), Beni Makhan Mosque(VII). Lunch. After lunch proceed with the sightseeing of Merv: Erk Gala(VI BC), Soltan Gala XI), Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum(XII), Ibn Zeid Mausoleum(XII). Transfer to the local airport of Mary to have return flight to Ashgabat. Flight by T5-132 at 17.20 & arrive at 18.00. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Ashkhabad - Dashoguz - Kunya Urgench - Khiva
Early breakfast in the hotel. Flight to Dashoguz by flight TS-101 at 06:40 and arrive at 07.40 Immediate drive to Kunya Urgench(1,5 hrs). Sightseeing tour of Kunya Urgench: Portal of Caravansaray(XI-XIV), Mamun Minaret(X-IX), Il Arslan Mausoleum(XII), Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum(XIII), Kutlug Timur Minaret(XIV). Lunch. After lunch proceed with the sightseeing of Merv: Turabek Hanum Mausoleum(XIV), Najem Din Kubra Mausoleum(XIII), Sultan Ali Mausoleum(XV). After Sightseeing of Kunya Urgench proceed to the border point "Dashoguz-Shavat"(it is around 130 km and takes 2 hours driving). Formalities at border. At 16:00 pm cross in to Uzbekistan. Drive to Khiva. Accommodation in the hotel. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Khiva
Breakfast at 8 a.m. in the hotel. After breakfast sightseeing of the ancient places of Khiva. KHOREZM - Oasis in which are located Khiva and Urgench, lies between the deserts of Kyzylkum and Karakum. It is obliged for its rich plant world toAmudarya and its strongly branched system of channels. Many centuries ago Khiva became the place, in which stopped the travelers experiencing thirst. The minarets of city as lighthouses lured the caravans to the city, which presented significant source of income. Khiva is the smallest of the splendid cities along the Silk Road; however, city is not inferior in the competition to such great cities as Samarkand and Bukhara. Here you feel yourself transferred into the past: small alleys, low buildings and many mosques, mausoleums and medrassas. In the city were preserved approximately 50 splendid construction of that time. Among the many marvelous constructions there is palace Tosh-Khauli, the masterpiece of eastern architecture. UNESCO it declared Khiva world cultural heritage.Visit to the oldest part of the city: Kunya-Ark fortress(including Kurinish Khana), Mokhammed Rakhim Khan, Arab Mukhammad-Khan madrassah, Mokhammed-Amin-Khan Madrassah. Lunch. After lunch continue the sightseeing tour of Khiva: Pakhlavan Makhmud mausoleum, Islam Khodja Minaret, Tash Khauvli, Caravansaray of Allakhuli-Khan. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Khiva - Bukhara
Breakfast. Drive to Bukhara by coach. Picnic on the way. Accommodation at hotel in Bukhara. After the accommodation you will visit ancient places of Bukhara. BUKHARA - the city of poetry and fairy tale - lies at the oasis among the desert of Kyzylkum. This is one of the ancient cities of the world, whose history counts more than 2500 years. During the centuries - old history of the city experienced the epoch of bloom and decline. Today Bukhara is one of the significant industrial and economic centers, one of the most important cities of Central Asia. As commercial city Bukhara exists 2000 years and more than 1000 years appears to be Metropolis of skillful architecture. Excursion of the city: The square Lyabi Khauz, The Madrassah and Khanaka of Nadir Divan-Begui, The Kukeldash Madrassah. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 7: Bukhara
Breakfast at 8 a.m. in the hotel. After breakfast visit to the oldest part of the city: Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashmai Ayyub, Bolo Khauz mosque, Ark Citadel. Lunch. After lunch continue the sightseeing of Bukhara: Minaret Kalian and Mosque Kalian, Madrassah of Mir Arab, Madrassah of Ulugbek, Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan, Mosque Magoki Ataru, Tim of Abdulla-Khan. Dinner at Madrassah ah of Nadir Divan-Begui with a folklore show. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 8: Bukhara - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand
Breakfast at 8 a.m. in the hotel. Drive to Shakhrisabz by bus. Lunch. Sightseeing the ancient places of Shakhrisabz. SHAKHRISABZ means "green city". City is actually surrounded by gardens and vineyards. According to academician Barthold's opinion the city was formed in III-II centuries B.C. Shakhrisabz - home land of Tamerlan. In the time of his ruling he invited into Shakhrisabz the best of architects, who constructed splendid palaces, mosques and mausoleums. In XV c. the city becomes not only shopping center, but also the city of culture and science. Sightseeing tour of Shakhrisabz: Ak-Saray Palace, Darut-Tillavat(Kok Gumbaz Mosque), Darus-Saadat(Gumbazi Saiidon). Drive to Samarkand (75 km, 1 hour) by car. Accomodation at the hotel. Free time. Day 9: Samarkand
Breakfast at 7.30 a.m. in the hotel. After breakfast sightseeing the ancient places of Samarkand. SAMARKAND - one of the most ancient cities of the world that was formed approximately in V BC. It existed under the name Marakanda even by the middle of 1000 BC and was the capital of Sogdiana. Later the old part of ancient Samarkand was renamed Afrosiab. Samarkand was the capital of Temur Empire in XIV-XV centuries. The history of Samarkand goes back to VI BC when it was ruled by Akhemenids empire, ruled by Alexander the Great in 4 BC. In "Divanu lugatit turk" (XI C) Samarkand was called as "Semizkand"("Fat city"). Sightseeing tour of Samarkand: Gur-Emir mausoleum, Rukhobod mausoleum, Reghistan square. Lunch. After the lunch continue the sightseeing tour of Samarkand: Bibi Khanum mosque, Siyab local bazaar, Khazrati Khizr mosque, Shakhi-Zinda necropolises. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10: Samarkand
Breakfast at 7.30 a.m. in the hotel. After breakfast sightseeing the ancient places of Samarkand. Observatory of Ulugbek, Afrosiyob archeological Museum, Samarkand State cultural and historical Museum. Observatory of Ulugbek - incredible construction of XV century for studying astronomy. Outside of the city you visit Ulugbek's observatory. Once flattened to the ground by religious people in XV C who was against to him. Now it has museum of Ulughbek and ruins of observatory and original part of Sextant of XV C. Afrosiyob archeological museum - with excavations site near by is an original fresco of V-VIII CC of Afrosiab which was found in 1960's is very famous and unique. Samarkand State Museum of the History of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan - The Samarkand museum if one of the major museums in this city. Exquisite pieces of jewelery, different kinds of textiles, pieces of pottery, furniture and metal work, everything is displayed in this museum for the public. Lunch. After lunch continue the sightseeing tour of Samarkand and visiting the Mausoleum of Daniyar Prophet. Free time. Dinner at 7.30 p.m. in the national guest house with special Uzbek cuisine. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 11: Samarkand - Panjikent - Samarkand
Breakfast at 7.30 a.m. in the hotel. Morning transfer to bazaars Urgut at 09.00. Trip toward the Uzbek-Tajik boundary(60km). Meeting at the boundary at 11.30. Transfer to Panjikent (Tajikistan). Lunch with a local Tajik family. Excursion of the city: "Rudakiy" museum, Exhibition of archeological finds and Ancient Sogd Ruins. Drive back to Samarkand crossing the Tajik-Uzbek boundary. Arrival and transfer to the hotel at 18.30. Dinner with Uzbek music in a local Uzbek Family at 7.30. p.m. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 12: Samarkand - Tashkent
Breakfast at 7.30 a.m. in the hotel. Transfer to Tashkent (320 km, 5 hours) by train. Accommodation in the hotel. TASHKENT is the capital of Uzbekistan. It is one of the largest cities in Central Asia and there are about 3 million inhabitants. It has a history of more than 2 thousand years. Lunch. After lunch sightseeing tour of Tashkent: Kukaldash Madrassah, Local Bazaar Chorsu, Barrak Khan madrassah, Tilla Shaykh mosque, Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi mausoleum. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 13: Tashkent - Bishkek - Issyk Kul
Early breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Transfer to the airport and flight to Bishkek by HY-777 at 05.20 and arrive at 07.45. Transfer to the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (200 km). Issyk-Kul Lake - is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also called "the pearl of Central Asia". On the way you will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Lunch. After having a traditional lunch we will continue our drive to the lake. Free time on the beach. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 14: Issyk Kul - Karakol
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning free time to swim in the lake till 11.30 a.m. Afterwards you will start your trip to Karakol city by car (200 km). On the way, we will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.), including the local museum.You will have a second stop during the trip at 1.00 p.m., where you can enjoy lunch in a relaxed atmosphere, before continuing our way to Karakol city along the northern shore of the sparkling pearl of Central Asia, which's beauty you will be able to enjoy to the full during another break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Then you will be transferred to Karakol city. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 15: Karakol - Bishkek
Breakfast in the hotel. Then we start our trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). As soon as we are in Bishkek you will have a city tour including lunch. You will visit the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. You will receive a separate program, listing all places visited including a brief description. Farewel dinner at 7.00 p.m. with a national folklore show. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 16: Bishkek - Almaty
Breakfast in the hotel at 7.00 a.m. Drive to Almaty. Lunch. Accommodation at the hotel.After the accommodation you will have a city tour that includes visiting of 28 Panfilov's guardsmen park, the Cathedral church, Museum of national musical instruments. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 17: Almaty - Flight home
Breakfast in the hotel at 8.30 a.m. After breakfast we will continue the city tour of Almaty. Today we are going to see National museum, Republic square, Medeo (Í-1691) gorge. Lunch. After lunch transfer to the airport.
